Setting PLEX DVR to record does nothing

This is a frustrating error.
When I add an episode of a show manually to be recorded nothing happens. The episode is not shown on the DVR Schedule. If I locate it in the guide again it does not show as being set to record. No error is given. No episode is recorded.

I’ve tried updates, restarts, and the like, but nothing seems to work here.
