Setting up SSL Cert for WebUI

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392
TrueNas Server: TrueNAS-12.0-U3.1
Player Version#: FireStick (not part of this issue)

I consider myself pretty handy when it comes to Linux/Unix administrator, but this one has me stumped, and its probably just something I am missing.

I have the server up and running and serving content, its running in its own jail, and a virtualized IP to my 10GE Fiber Card that is distributed throughout my home and home office via a VLANed Cisco 48 port switch (not that any of that matters, just disclosing fully what I got going on here)

I generated a CSR, got the certificate from Name Cheap, and copied the .CRT file to the folder : /mnt/Krackatoa_NAS_Pool-1/iocage/jails/Krackatoa_Plex/media/sslcert/plexssl.crt

I then setup the hostname that the SSL Cert CN is using in Plex, then configured my DNS of which I am using CloudFlare for all my domains, so it was easier to just point an A-Record to my internal server on a private address rather than setting up an internal DNS server or using hosts files on all my devices.

Restarted the PlugIn/Jail Service, the settings took, and saved, but I am not getting any feedback or errors as to why my server won’t serve up my local Plex media over HTTPS using the newly created SSLCert.

There is not a ton of options, so I think I am doing it correctly… however all my local content is still serving up over non-secure.

Any help would be appreciated

You cannot use just the crt part of your cert,

You need to generate a PKCS (p12) file from your certificate parts.

Oh, geez… thanks for the reality check. Guess that is what I get for trying to do this at 2am after working 2 - 50hr work weeks, and work everyday after hours from 6-11pm dealing with my own business .
