Trouble setting up SSL: plex won't use my cert

Server Version#: 1.25.3.5409
Player Version#: N/A

Hi there!

I have recently set up a domain with SSL for my Plex server, and would like to be able to connect securely, i.e. to https://mydomain.com:32400

I have configured the server through the web UI by going to Settings → Network and filling out the relevant fields:

Custom certificate location = /etc/mydomain.com/mydomain.com.pf
Custom certificate encryption key = ********
Custom certificate domain = mydomain.com
Preferred network interface = ethernet
Strict TLS configuration = true
...

I could not find anything relevant in the server logs (maybe that’s just because idk where to look), nor does Plex report any errors or seem to notice that anything is wrong.

Even if I fill out the above fields with nonsense (specifying a nonexistent file location for the PCKS#12 file, or an invalid password), Plex still does not report any errors or seem to notice that anything is wrong.

In order to access my Plex server via its domain name from a web browser, I have to override that browser’s security settings so that it will ignore the invalid certificate that Plex sends instead of the valid certificate that I manually specified in the above settings.

The certificate that Plex currently sends is issued by “Let’s Encrypt.” I do not know where it’s getting this certificate from; my certificate - the one that it should be using, that is valid for my domain - is issued by GoDaddy.com, Inc.

Please help me get this set up! Thank you so much for your time and have a great week.
