What problems did you experience with movies that use other frame rates (which frame rates?)
I dont have any issues with 25, 50 and 60FPS content.
It’s crazy but after sometime I noticed that 4k stuttering was fixed while 1080p is reduced but still visible to all frame rates. Testing drivers showed that min stuttering is with the default windows driver. Still have to use kodi with plex addon as plex seems to have bugs. By the way why can’t plex use kodi player as it’s open source and plays perfect.
I also don´t see this behavior. On my system, it plays fine without any stuttering and I´m very sensitive to stuttering or dropped frames…
What are the specs of your system? What driver version have you tested?
Because Kodi has issues too and many others like to use a standalone Plex client. In my opinion Plex HTPC is a good one, as the playback engine is open source and can be “tuned”. (…with some quirks and bugs, but as I said Kodi has them too)
Can you change the playback engine easily with Kodi? Can you modify playback behavior and processing with a conf file in Kodi? … no…

I tested latest nvidia drivers studio and game ready and the 512.69 as mentioned above.
Plex is working fine from TV app but as you probably know THD and DTS HD won’t passthrough to receiver so I have to use kodi with plex addon and I don’t need to do any tweaks as it plays perfect.
If you see something I can tweak let me know, thanks
Well, your hardware should be plenty for perfect playback.
I don´t get this… On my system, I have no problem with THD and DTS-HD passthrough. It works perfectly fine. Is it not working for you?
Can you please upload your Plex HTPC log?
This is why I use HTPC, the android TV plex app won’t passthrough due to limitations for all TVs. Plex HTPC works all audio formats, no problem. I’m sure the video problem is with vertical sync and I’m experimenting
Just wanted to say thank you, I’m on 531.41 using a 2060 and adding swapchain-depth=1 fixed all my stuttering issues when using refreshrate switching.
23.97p, 25p, 30p, 60p all work fine with it set to swapchain-depth=1 using these settings below :
refreshrate switching = on
resolution switching = on
HDR switching = on
HDR Meta Passthrough = on
Refreshrate delay = none
Video playback quality = Normal Quality
