I just tried pulling down 3 separate versions of Plex Media Server (two for Synology, and one for Windows), and for each one, the SHA1 hashes listed on the site don’t match the file hash of the downloaded file. Example:
On the site, Plex Media Server for Windows lists a SHA1 hash of: 9d51c56da7fe7f27be9771c7b520bb03485f593.
Upon downloading, multiple calculators actually show the SHA1 hash as: b7a5cd2ae5ae178d7d9e91761028276c4b9fc582
Does anyone else see this issue? Are these hashes actually valid, or are there issues with the files being served?
Thanks for verifying! I’ll try downloading from a few different machines and browsers for more comparisons when I’m back home. The download did install correctly it seemed. Just didn’t have a matching hash. Since I know it should be working, I’ll keep trying in my side.
I downloaded again from a different computer, and got the correct hash, so I think I’m all set now. @anon18523487 , thanks for your help in verifying! I went ahead and uninstalled the first version and re-installed the new one, and am back in business.
