Sharing my Plex Media with a Friend

Let’s say I have stored some music and movie files on a NAS where I have installed my Plex Subcription, I mean the Plex Media Library is also on the same NAS which makes it easy for me to access my Music and Movie files anywhere within my home. Now, If there is a way if I can share my Please Media with a friend who lives in the same apartment but in a different network of his own home. Please advise what is the step by step process if this is possible ?

Sorry, no step by step possible. This scenario requires a solid knowledge of networking.
If you want to avoid the data from flowing out to the internet and then back to the other apartment, you will have to build a custom network route.
Which requires

  • a router model which is not your average “home” device
  • a configuration of said router which has a special route to the other apartment. i.e. you need to know your way around IP networks.
