Plex cannot seem to play any channel with 60fps. There is no sound and video is stuttering. The streams play fine in iOS, LG Webos.
what audio is it? HE-AAC by chance?

It happens only in nvidia shield plex app.

How do you force live tv to transcode? Let me test if transcode works Atleast.
On the shield, while playing it in settings set max quality to a lower setting like 720p 2Mbps
i did try that its not trans coding at all it goes back to direct.
I have the same issue too, Plex won’t playback any recorded channels in 60fps, but the same recorded file plays fine in other apps on my NVIDIA Shield (Emby, VLC) and fine on my PC too.
Is the solution at the moment to transcode? Or hopefully a fix from the Devs is coming soon
