2017 Nvidia Shield - Video with HE-AAC codec

I’m having trouble playing media with HE-AAC audio codec from my windows plex server.

The video plays but is not smooth and buffers a lot with no audio. If I force it to transcode it plays just fine.

I have tried playing with the client profiles to force Android to always transcode he-aac but Plex seems to be ignoring that.

It plays fine on an iPhone and Apple TV.

I recorded a few seconds of live tv that uses this audio codec. If anyone needs to reproduce the issue:

Also am experiencing this same problem. FYI - this appears to impact all android devices (not just shield)

Can confirm. 2017 Shield TV with latest software all arpund, HE-AAC file stutter and jump around.

Confirming as well… HE-AAC on shield and most any android device just jumps around video and no sound.
