Shield not updating library

Just got a new shield TV Pro. When I delete content either from the server or within plex it still remains in the library until I manually force close plex and reopen.

Haven’t had this behavior with plex on other platforms. Any advice?

Unfortunately no. I’ve even navigated to other apps, left it overnight and the deleted content is still there. The only way to refresh the library was to force close the app and reopen it again.

I was wondering if anyone else had experience they could share with the shield - is this behaviour normal?

You have to navigate to the content ‘pin’ you want to update such as ‘Movies’ and then hover over the three-vertical dots (left-side) and select ‘Refresh’.

Thank you - this is the way we’ve been doing it. However plex running natively on the LG TV, or Plex running on an amazon fire stick does not need this. Why is this required on shield?

Content auto-refresh can be hit and miss with the Shield; Nvidia has not implemented a reliable method to get it done… Their software engineers seem to be in denial that it’s a real problem for some of us.

Aw that’s really frustrating. I had assumed that the shield downloaded the android TV version from the store not a proprietary version - why does that happen?
