When browsing upcoming movies in the TV Guide/DVR, it would be awesome if when I selected record, I would get a warning dialog that shows “This movie is already in your library, would you like to overwrite it?”, with options “Yes, overwrite it”, “No”, “Create a second one”, and “Take me to the movie”, to allow me to check out the original file, in case it wasn’t properly recorded or anything.
The issue is that sometimes I have movies that I have already recorded, but haven’t gotten around to watching. On occasion, the recordings aren’t great due to poor signal quality over the antenna, a commercial that wasn’t properly detected (or erasing a portion of the movie), or other glitches. On occasion, I may actually forget what movies I actually own which reside on plex, and don’t want to overwrite their perfect versions with something that was recorded from TV.
