Show settings reset to default when all episodes watched/deleted and then new episode airs.

I’ve setup several of my shows to “Delete episodes after watching” in the show advanced settings.
This works great and does exactly what I want - to delete the shows a day after they’ve been watched.
But, there’s an issue with it. I set this on a currently running show. Then, when I’ve watched all the episodes of that show and they’re all deleted (as expected), another episode of the show may air, and the show no longer has this setting enabled.
I’m guessing that Plex effectively deletes the show from its library and the setting goes with it. Then, when a new episode is downloaded its setup as a new show without the setting applied.
This also seems to happen with tags like collections - they disappear for new episodes if there were no previous episodes there.
Sound about right?

It would probably make more sense for Plex to keep the show information in its database for a period of time (say, a month?), rather than purge it straight away.

This is still happening even with the latest Plex releases. Some field values seem to be maintained, but the sharing tags and delete after watching flags aren’t kept. Any update?

I am also seeing this issue, almost a year later than this post, just could never figure out what is causing it to happen.

Just curious, is this still happening for you?
