Show the successful 3-day database backups in Plex

It would be great that in Plex where you turn on “Scheduled Tasks” the “Backup database every three day” if it showed the last day it did backup successfully.

From my personal experience this week when I went to install the new PlexMediaServer-1.40.4.8679-424562606-x86_64 on my QNAP it was installed but I couldn’t get back into Plex.

Looking at it, I saw in the logs that the database was malformed. I tried to repair it, however it still had issues. I saw the backups stopped working, as the last one was 10/31/2023 (which was the same day I updated to 1.32.7). I was able to restore that backup and allow Plex to find my new media and get back into Plex.

It would’ve been great to know the backups had stopped and I could look at it then. I don’t often go into the CLI, but am in the GUI and in the Plex Dash.

You could enable notifications for detected database corruption.

I see an option for push notifications, not sure where I would set that up in Plex. Would you mind letting me know?

It still would be nice to have it at a glance in Plex.

They are in the Plex Mobile apps. If you enabled it on your server then in the sobile app’s notification settings, that one is towards the bottom.
