Shuffle - Only Play Unwatched

I have a Collection for Home Reno shows and I want to just shuffle random through them, but it keeps going to episodes it’s played before, so the more I watch the more work it is to use Shuffle.

PLEASE add a setting for this or just default to this behaviour.

Have you considered shuffling a smart playlist/collection that’s filtering the library for those shows and only includes unwatched ones?

Also… there’s already an existing suggestion thread discussing the addition of an option to only play unwatched episodes during shuffle. Please comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.

I know there are technically workarounds to achieve this now, but this is not the same as it being a fully supported feature. In my opinion the fact people are finding work arounds for this are evidence it would be a great feature to add., especially since it would be relatively easy compared to a “Smart Shuffle”. The shuffle is fantastic in theory, but when I shuffle a show with 120ish episodes twice in one day and see the same episode it’s a bit annoying. I think it could be as simple as addi…

I had not thought of that, I’ll update my Smart Collection and give that a try!
