Shuffle unwatched

I know there are technically workarounds to achieve this now, but this is not the same as it being a fully supported feature. In my opinion the fact people are finding work arounds for this are evidence it would be a great feature to add., especially since it would be relatively easy compared to a “Smart Shuffle”. The shuffle is fantastic in theory, but when I shuffle a show with 120ish episodes twice in one day and see the same episode it’s a bit annoying.

I think it could be as simple as adding an option in the 3 dot menu saying “Shuffle Unwatched.” When a show is already playing you can view the upcoming episodes, a checkbox could be added to the view for “Unwatched Only.”

I know this feature has been brought up before, but it’s usually just met with “You can do that on web with these 6 steps.” I’d like to see this be a fully supported feature I can take advantage of no matter what I’m watching from.

I know this is bringing an old topic back to life too but this is something I have started to look for.
As Im catching up on shows and movies I’ve not seen that are in my collection, choosing an episode or movie to watch is often time consuming.

Being able to use a library (TV or Movies for example) and then using the shuffle feature on unwatched media would be helpful.

In the case of TV shows, rather than shuffling episodes randomly, have it shuffle play the next unwatched episode in sequence for a randomly selected show, keeping unwatched episodes in sequence but giving me a show to watch at random.

I haven’t been able to find a way to achieve this using filters.
