Is it possible to shutdown the computer (or put it to sleep) from within PMP? So far I’ve found only an exit option

There is no such feature no.
Please can it be added? If PMP is to be the successor of PHT, then this would seem to be a no-brainer?

Nothing is a no-brainer (apparently, look at the forums since release).
It will only be considered if enough people find it important, as the more streamlined app the better. These coming days and weeks will show if it is important or not I assume.
Hmm. I take your point
I would also like to have some way for the computer to go to sleep when plex has been inactive for x minutes.

Well, in which case this feature request gets a +1 from me. Is there a way to vote for Git bugs / feature items?

Seems more people want it as some of the CEC thread seem to hint at also wanting shutdown/suspend based on CEC commands and the otherway around.
I also would like a sleep/shutdown function. Windows wont even go to sleep in my testing when pmp is open.
In pht i just leave it open for my family and in pht i set it to sleep after 15 minutes, then my remote control program i use simply sends a wake on lan packet and the pc wakes up with pht still open on screen ready to go.
Also pmp sadly seems to freeze or minimize when you wake it from sleep…
My thumb for the ability to shutdown/restart computer
I would definitely also like to see the shutdown/restart feature in PMP! Furthermore, activation of Windows sleep/hibernation mode after a certain amount of idle time in PMP should be possible.
Without these features, PMP cannot really replace PHT, at least for me and the specific setup that I use…
New subscriber here.
I just tried PMP on my Mac Mini.
No shutdown option, no apple remote menu button action to launch plex from the desktop, pressing the menu button brings up the exit menu instead of staying at the home screen
From a UX/Useability PoV, this is definitely a no go for me, PMP is a clear regression from PHT in this area
Agree - shutdown feature would be hugely helpful
If you are looking for shutting down your Media Server, I created a script that automatically Shuts Down the PC (Linux) if Plex isn’t transcoding within 1 hour… it’s free and open source, available at:
