SickBeard + Plex Notifications...

Hello all...

 

I have been searching here for a bit... and i cant seem to find an answer in SB forums or here... 

 

Basically I built a new SB and Plex server build about a month ago... and it's very solid... except SB cant seem to notify plex of a new show's been downloaded...

 

advice?

Are you using SickBeard or SickRage? SickRage's development is a lot more active and I know they recently updated the Plex notifications to work with the update to Plex that required authentication.

I’m with scottwf. Either SockRage or Sonarr would be a better choice. Development of SickBeard has been haulted but SickRage is built on similar code.


I switched to Sonarr, a competitor of SickBeard, recently and love it! The interface is prettier, it has support for failed downloads and I’ve found episodes thru it that SickBeard never found.

do you have a phone app that works with sonarr or sickrage? I’ve been using sick beard for years and have been frustrated by it no longer notifying plex recently. But i also have come to depend on the mediadog app for sab and sickbeard. Anything like media dog for either sonarr or sickrage?

Try a program called NZB360... got pulled from the app store 6 months ago... but you can still download it from it's owner... google nzb360...

Been using this for years... updates it weekly it seems... very active developer...

For iOS devices, you can download nzbUnity but your device must be jailbroken.  nzbUnity is available through the Cydia store.

First off, SickRage is the cake and icing. Second, anything that is free is expected to have issues here and there(and even some /cough/ subsciption based programs).

I simply have Plex monitor my directories for any changes. Haven't had an issue yet.
