Similar albums merged

I have 2 albums which show up as one in my library. They are 1999 and 1999 (super deluxe edition).

Disc 1 shows up as
1 1999
1 1999
2 Little Red Corvette
2 Little Red Corvette
3 Delirious
3 Delirious
… and so on. The other discs, since they only exist for the super deluxe edition, are fine in that regard.

The files are in separate folders, and the ID3 tags for the super deluxe edition have the album title as “1999 (super deluxe edition)” other details (date, MusicBrainz IDs, etc.) which distinguish it from the “basic” edition, but despite several attempts at removing and re-adding the folder, Plex insists on merging them.

I ran into a bug this weekend that I haven't seen before. I have two albums, The Marshal Mathers LP and The Marshal Mathers LP 2. This is how the folders are organized on my file system.   /music/Eminem/2013 - The Marshal Mathers LP 2 /music/Eminem/2000 - The Marshal Mathers LP   The id3 tags look ok on both albums, but Plex is grouping the albums as if they are one album. The song tracks are listed 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3 .....etc. from combining them into the same album.   TIA

Similarly named music albums from same artist get merged !

Just added the album “25” from Adele to music collection. When Plex scans the library it initially sees it but then merges the songs into the existing “Adele - 21” album ? Anyone seen an issue like this before . I have verified the MP3’s are tagged correctly (Album name is correct)
