do somebody know how to disable subtitles on playz? i am unable to disable it - disable subtitles button don't work for me.

Hi Simon,
Updates are coming and it is exciting to see new thingz on Playz. Will there be support for Turkish subtitles cause it still cannot show the ANSI subs if they contain turkish character. The app is great with my other 2013 LG but on 2014 Turkish subs are still a problem. Please say something about this fix. Thank you.

Just bought it from LG's app store in Brazil and it works fine. My tv is a 47LB6500 running webOS with the latest firmware version. Just one issue to report: subtitles encoded in 8859-1 don't work right, I have to save them in UTF-8 to be able to get them to work with accented characters.

Well, apparently the developer version doesn't work with the latest firmware, but the store version does.
let me understand your program for the webOS platform does not work 100% so because of that do not own Lg released the api system to control subtitles?
it does not have a configuration menu subtitles as (color, size and height) because of it?
another via transcoder operates the legend, but with very small size.
sorry if I offended you, I just knew it as the official version and a web version and all worked well, I thought to webOS would work too.
but unfortunately will not be able to enjoy the program because of bugs in the subtitles.

Can someone confirm codec support with this? Will it direct play vc1, avc, and mpeg2 in mkv? What about ac3, dts, or the hd versions? Also will the LG tvs send dts and ac3 at least back through ARC to a receiver? Thanks.
It plays whatever your tv can play natively since it uses the tv decoding abilities.

My subs are in cyrillic is that may be a issue,if subs are in english it showing it .Also integrated subs like pgs doesn't work at all! All this is on direct play ,when i use a transcoding all subs are showing including cyrillic ,but then the picture quality is poor. Is there any solution on that, thank u for the great app anyway ?!

So i've change the encoding from ANSII to UTF8 and it's work , the subs are showing now, but will take a while for me to change it on more than 300 movies more than 10000 ep of tv shows.
Everything works after all the updates on Webos and playz. My only problem is playing large 3d files. It will buffer on PMS and on Simons playz app (also updated)
Are there settings I can chk?
PMS worked for a while when I set preference to enable direct play but now frequently buffers again.

I think you don't need to change the encoding. Try this, put a movie with cyrilic in a usb stick or disk with the srt of it and smartshare will pop up, click it and click after the movie and it will start, in there now go to subs and choose external and in the next page choose cyrilic and voila you will see cyrilic fine(at least this huppens to my greek).
Now the tv learns forever the encoding and always will remember the encoding no matter the app so playz will be ok.

I have just downloaded Playz to see how it compares with my Mac Mini attached to my LG TV (79" UHD).
One thing I immediately noticed is that all the fan art is slightly out of focus. I know it must be something to do with Playz as when I switched HDMI input to Plex on my MM it is pin sharp, any idea why that is?
Second point and maybe more of a request is that will Channels be coming to Playz as I would love to get iPlayer on there and then I can really ditch my Mac Mini.?
