Try change the country of your LG app store, I had the same issue and I’ve changed to UK store and it’s pop up.

I am having problems changing country setting as it doesn't work.
I set up an account for my home country Singapore. when I tried to change the country using the on the website to another one it doesn't allow me to log in and says the account is not registered with that country.
If I create a UK account then I cannot sign in with it in on the TV as it says the same message, so it appears LG are using geolocation to protect the stores.
anyone have any ideas?
I have a similar problem: when I change country - I can find app, but cann't buy it because my e-mail address isn't registered for that country. I assumed - when I register another e-mail address, I could not buy it because my payment card is not linked to new e-mail. So what do I do next?
Any way to disable the super annoying music when browsing through TV shows? It plays the theme song in there and its really loud on my speakers compared to the actual show.
It doesn't work for me this way, yes it is remembered for smart share but not for other apps, thanks anyway.I think you don't need to change the encoding. Try this, put a movie with cyrilic in a usb stick or disk with the srt of it and smartshare will pop up, click it and click after the movie and it will start, in there now go to subs and choose external and in the next page choose cyrilic and voila you will see cyrilic fine(at least this huppens to my greek).
Now the tv learns forever the encoding and always will remember the encoding no matter the app so playz will be ok.

It doesn't want to create the ipk file for me. I get stuck there, and I see this error in the CMD:

Well, apparently the developer version doesn't work with the latest firmware, but the store version does.
So it does. I decided to suck it up and stop being cheap.
Holy wow. Was surprised to see the store version actually works. All the stuff that doesn't work from the latest GIT is fixed in the store version.
So why doesn't the GIT repository match the live app. Surely it should be ahead if anything.
Anyway, happily using my paid version. Had to swap to AUS store as PLAYz is not available in NZ.

I followed the guide to make the test app for webos. Everything fine, except LG developer account. Registration ask for Company, etc. I think entering fake information is not legal. I cant purchase the app from store also.
How can i try PlayZ?

Hi I have just purchased the PlayZ app for my new LG Smart tv (42LB6500). However, not all my files are showing up on the TV app - even though they show up on my Plex media server on my computer.
I currently have Plex media server on my computer with two file formats
E:/movies filename.extension and
E:/movies/Folder Name/filename.extension
This second one is where there are two parts to a movie, or where there is additional info like jpgs and subtitles etc..
The PlayZ doesnt seem to be finding the second type (ie. a folder within the movie folder). Any suggestions?
Also - is there a way to fix my audio to always be stereo as I do not have surround sound attached to the TV.

Hello just bought the app, and well I cant get it to see my plex server, the tv picks it up just fine in the smart share. When I hit scan it just finds my phone, when I type in the ip address manually, it just sits there and nothing pops up ( the longest I had it wait was 5 mins.
I dont know what to do really wish this worked for me
App was working fine until recent tv update, now can never find pms server. Not a server issue as works fine with my chromecast, phones and tablets.
Also tv seems to constantly pick up phone or tablet as a pms server, or reports many pms servers.
Was working perfect before last update. Any ideas? Have tried resetting tv and reinstalling app same result. Have had to revert to plugging in chromecast to watch.

Long shot here (since you're all PlexPass users it's worth a try): Is Plex Home enabled? If so, disable it, PlayZ isn't compatible with it yet.
On a PlexPass unrelated note: If I had to guess, the reason it picks your other devices (phones and tablets) is probably because you enabled the "Broadcast as server" option in their Plex App.
My PlayZ app for my LG TV doesnt play all the files, even if they work perfectly in plex, and even if they are the same file name and extension type.
For example. In the same folder, I can play one name.S01E01.mkv file on my LG TV using Playz, but the next episode, with the same name formating: e.g. name.S01E02.mkv will not play.
I have checked there is nothing wrong with the files - both of them work properly using plex on my computer, but through Playz, only one works ... any ideas?

@DeborahMc, what operating system are you using? I had a similar problem using PLEX under Linux, due wrong file ownership and permissions.

Since the movie is not showing at all then I misunderstood your question, sorry about that.
Would you mind pasting the XML (preferably inside a [SPOILER] tag just to spare other readers from the wall of text) of the media? I'm guessing that MAYBE it could have something to do with the way Plex enumerates the media parts and PlayZ reads them.
