If I'm not mistaken LM is for 2012 models. LG only approved the current version of the app for 2013+ TVs (NetCast 4 and WebOS).
Besides that, your country's LG Store must offer paid apps (it doesn't in some countries). LG also do not offer the app in some regions due to other reasons (e.g: local regulations)

There is no defined timeline for development, I add features as I can ...
Below is an FYI list of things for people to know ...
- the app is only approved for 2013+ devices including webOS (note the app was designed for 2013 models which are full HD for apps, I have tweaked the design to to allow for webOS but it isn't optimised yet)
- Brazil has special ratings requirements which I am trying to apply for
- the app is only in lg stores that offer paid apps
- you can switch countries to purchase it then switch to country of origin and it will work
- I am a lone developer with a day job and two young children working on this so I will update when I can
- the app will soon be called playz .. CORRECTION it is now called PLAYz Media in the LG Smart World store
- the USB version will always be updated, if you use it because you can't buy the app please donate ...
- shared libraries and channels are not yet supported
- subtitles are fully supported if transcoding is used otherwise it depends on the TV ..
- the lg api doesn't provide any way to control subtitles other than to turn them on or off .. So I can't change colour or location
- turning off integrated subtitles doesn't work for integrated subtitles .ie. mkv
- lg doesn't provide a native screensaver on LCD TV
- the app doesn't support local pms authentication, shared libraries or channels at this time
I think LG broke something on their last firmware update for the LB6500. The player simply doesn't work anymore, as if the media stream was not being read. I tried enabling HLS and External player but neither worked. :(
Good thing at least Plex Web works decently enough in the TV browser (unlike my 2013 LA6200) to serve as a fallback until they fix this on a future update... Or maybe break things even worse, you never know with LG. :rolleyes:
Hi, I have a subtitle issue... its a 2014 TV and I think after the latest LG firmware update (not sure though) I now always have subtitles (if they're in the stream). Tried turning it off during playback... get Error 2. Tried turning it off before I play, this seems to work but I get subtitles and the setting goes back and I have subtitles.
Any thoughts?

Hello everyone I am a client of Plex from the application of Lg WebOS, once you connected to the server will wonder, I really like that you can see the 3D movies in my library. how bad it is you've found problems with the subtitles, because if I want to disable Error 2 I get the movie restarts and could not find a solution in this regard.
New update in App Store adds paging and a few other fixes … Hopefully icon is better fit for webOS devices … Appreciate if someone can post a screenshot …

In short there not ... As I have said many many times the api only allows for selecting a subtitles file and turning subtitles on and off ... Nothing else
The app description defines the new additions...

The first version of the app in the LG store did not have the same logo display problem as the new one. Without having access to both graphic files its hard to tell what's different. Perhaps the original logo had a transparent background and the button background color was defined separately?

This should be addressed in the most recent release ... can someone post a screenshot once installed.

:( well....that sucks...big time! :(
@Simon i did the update yesterday but Screenshot i will have the evening since im in work now.
Overall the Graphics are Perfect now.. before was pixelated somehow... also the logo in the Smart menu is fixed now and background is black and a last thing is that the App is now faster to me.
As for the subtitles in no way i can select Greek Subtitles even if i try to play a media without embeded subs or anything but i can leave fine with english subs for now so no prob here.

Hi Simon, first thanks for the great work. Purchased your App yesterday and it work good for me. Only think what I saw first are the covers. They looks a little bit blurred. Bluecris wrote it is better now. Due to the reason I use the version from yesterday I have compare.
