thx for developing this app, 

 

I would like to ask 2 questions:

 

1st - is there possible to update somehow? F.e. in big TV - icon are so small - would be nice to be able to start f.e. movie to click on poster. 2nd - sound - any way to change sound during movie playing? For me changing sound don't work at all...

I have problem with resuming video after pause - f.e.: if pause is more than 2-3min - I press play - movie resume and play for 30-50sec. - after that it stops

Somebody have same problem?

Hello,

I bought the plea app in september for my LG WebOS
It worked great but now with the update to Playz Media the store says i 
have to buy it again. On the MY PAGE, it shows that i purchased it already. Can you tell me what the problem is?

I install playz 1.0.1.1 manually (i don't have paid apps on the lg store), interface is ok and it list all my library but the player doen't work anymore on my lg webos tv with the software version 4.30.16 :-(

Anyone can confirm that ?

Working fine here in a 55UB950v with firmware 4.25.22 if i remember right. Before some days the app updated itself throw the Store fine.

I change my region and paid the app which is newer and it work :-)

Hello.

When i finish watching a TV episode, the app doesn't mark it as watched. It remains as mid-watched. It doesn't happen with movies. With movies it works OK. It only happens when i see a TV episode.

I'm using the last version downloaded from the LG store.

hey just asking l have a LG 2013 smart 3D TV.....LG have now taken Plex Media away but l know see PLAYz Media app but you have to pay for it ... about $5 Aust ....lm just asking l have a lifetime Plex Pass now is there any way l can get the app for nothing or do l have to buy it ...l hope ur not thinking that lm rude

The app is not available in Brazil and I could not install manually (issues with the webos sdk installation). When changing the local I could only find latin american countries, checking a few the app was not available either. Any ideas on how to get it?

Will it direct play most codecs/containers? h.264 with DD or DTS inside mkv most importantly?

Does it support remote servers yet?

Only via the USB method. PlayZ is not affiliated with Plex in any way.

I think Chile has it available (or is it Peru?), but you'll have to create another LG account for that country to buy the app and relog with it every time you have/want to update the app.

Simon already filed the rating requirements for it to be available in our store, even though it may take a while due to the way things work here, I'd rather wait for it and run off the USB in the meantime.
Give the SDK another shot, both workarounds are somewhat cumbersome (not nearly as much as having to flash another region's firmware to access a store with paid apps but still). Or if your server is running on a powerful enough hardware, use the www.plex.tv/app browser interface, it forces transcoding but at least you can watch your media in the meantime.
 

...Does it support remote servers yet?

Not officially. Some people managed to connect to servers outside the network using some ninja techniques (VPN maybe?), but I'm pretty sure even this way shared libraries are a no go.

I have created another account for UK, due to paid apps restriction in my country.

I found and paid for the app, but I still cannot install it? It still says that I have to buy it before installation can be done, but afterwards, it says that I have already purchased the app.

If I log into LG Smart World website with the new account, the app is present with status OK.

Any ideas? I really hate Smart Share, and I am coming from a LG 2012 TV which had the Plex built in, and has worked great for years, I really miss this in the WebOS.

Hi, I just downloaded the Playz media app through the LG App Store and the app spent load properly. It opens straight to the settings and I can’t go to the main menu. I see a flash of it before it opens the settings menu. Can you ease help. Not sure what to do
