The app goes to the settings because it needs a plex server to connect to or else it doesnt work.

I am another user who paid and downloaded it from LG App Store (europe->UK region). It shows as paid in the history, money have been taken but I am asked to purcase it again when trying to install then fails saying it was already purchased. Then I've created a second account and had the same behaviour. Now I have paid for it twice but I cannot install/use it. Please let me know how I can get a refund since the webstore is completely useless.

Not only me then ... Was the second account you created for another region than UK? I have thought of that, but haven't tried yet. Could be great to get this resolved.

Both accounts were on the UK store. Tried also to report the problem on store support, and they advise to contact the seller although this is clearly looks like an issue with the store itself.

i manage to create the USB (Brazil here), worked OK, i can open the app , locate my PMS server but none of video plays...

Same thing happening here. My TV was running firmware vesion 4.00.24 and playZ worked fine, but after updating my TV to the latest firmware it stopped playing video. I can navigate just fine, but I can't get it to play anything. Simon, if you need any kind of debug info you can ask me.

Hi Simon,
Firmware 04.30.14 has broken the playback functionality. The media player interface loads, but the video does not start streaming.
The app also only loads from USB if you are signed into your LG account (which is not predictable it seems). I assume that this is related to the way it has to be loaded in developer mode. Any way around this?
I am in a region without any paid app store access unfortunately.

I am in South Africa and our app store does not have the PLAYz app available to purchase.
I am also on firmware 04.30.14, where the app is unable to playback no matter what settings I choose (HLS or Direct Play etc). The App worked perfectly before the firmware update and I am not able to downgrade the firmware back to 04.00.29 (previous version).
It does not automatically locate the PMS when doing a scan, only if I manually input PMS IP.
When trying to playback it is as if it doesn't "find" the file to playback as it stays stuck on a blank playback screen.

One more over here - I bought the app on the UK store and now I can't launch it on my 42LB730V-ZD, 04.30.16 firmware (WebOS). It shows up in my purchesed apps but then it says it needs to reinstall and then it offers me to buy it again but when I click on the buy button it takes me back to signin screen and back again (a loop).
Does any one know how can I get a refund on it?
P.S. I can't install app from USB - I can't find the file explorer like it's explained here http://playz.sithari.com.au/files/test-help.html

I have a query with LG at present ... This is a store related issue as far as I can tell but I am waiting to see what they say ... Sorry for the hassle al the same.

I recently purchuse this app and that's great comparing to the native PLEX client but i miss my "Channels" section. There's anything i have to set in order to see my channels? If not, it will be a nice feature for the next update.

Furthermore, I've been reading the thread and I've noticed that several people have the same issue buying the app that have happened to me so I'll tell what I've done:
It happened to me few days ago. It shows up in my purchesed apps but then it says it needs to reinstall and then it offers me to buy it again but when I click on the buy button and when i try to repay the application it tells you that it is already paid.
If so, I'll tell you what I've done and what has worked to me but it doesn't have to happen to you in the same way.
Last friday I contacted the LG customer service center here in Spain and I told them what had happened. They asked me to send them a payment receipt and, on that basis, they could check that I had paid the application and try to solve the problem in the following business days.
After that, i tried by myself to log out from my LG account, clear the data related to my account, restore to factory settings and suddenly after that when i opened the LG store, and went to "My page" and "Premium Apps" (i don't know if it has the same default name in english) and i had the option to re-install the app. But the issue didn't end there because i don't know why i couldn't put the cursor or select the "Install" button. I could move for all the items in the menu except this one.
At this point, I still hadn't received a call from the customer service of LG so I ended up solving it myself because i was lucky and there's a system update (32.04.20) that i think that will clear the cache and maybe enable the option to check the install button and so be it.
So after that looong and tedious explanation LOL, all i have to say is try to do the same and i wish you luck :D (and try to contact your LG local/national customer care service).

All work fine here with 4.35.22 firmware and now with 5.99.99 so i don’t think it’s firmware issue.
