My browser is set up the same as always, working fine with cookies, but since the last update, everytime I reopen chrome I’m getting this. Kind of annoying.
probably site data cached. I believe a hard refresh should fix. Tech tip: How to do hard refresh in Chrome, Firefox and IE? or you can manually go in and remove site data for plex.tv domains. https://www.howtogeek.com/664912/how-to-clear-storage-and-site-data-for-a-single-site-on-google-chrome/
My user is still getting a ‘credentials have expired’ notice at login, and can see the media on my server but can’t play any of it. Every single time I refresh the page on her client I get the same ‘credentials’ notice.
I tried a hard refresh, rolling back to two separate previous updates, and restarting both the server and client. I’ve also tried removing them from my server and re-adding them, but the same problem arises. My other users aren’t having any problems at all.
The user in question has an option to Go Premium in the top right, but I have a lifetime pass and she doesn’t even have a server; she’s on mine.
Just to add to this, I had the same issue with my administrator account. Logging out of app.plex.tv did not work and hard refresh did not work. I also tried clearing data on app.plex.tv, and this did not work.
It was definitely a browser issue as signing in using private browsing was working fine. However, it was strange that I was able to access the entire server (as admin should), but only unable to play media (surely it should all work, or all not work).
Anyway, I fixed by signing out of both app.plex.tv and plex.tv and then clearing data on both app.plex.tv and plex.tv (as BigWheel shows instructions for). Then I was able to sign in on plex.tv as normal and launch app.plex.tv as normal.
I’ve literally cleared everything and still chrome wont let me play anything and every time I enter the site I have to log in again
