Server Version#: 1.22.0.4163
Player Version#: 4.53.0
Today I’m having the following problem.
Chrome (version 89.0.4389.90 (Officiël build) (64-bits)) cant play content and has a hardtime login in.
It does work with EDGE (Version 89.0.774.57).
===============
My problem: When I go to http://app.plex.tv/ often it will tell me that my credentials has expired. However I get the same response from other accounts and different servers on different computers and different networks. Edge doesnt have this problem.
When I eventually do login I see everything the usual mainscreen however when I press on play nothing happens.
The only thing I can do is go to account and press change user followed by the + button (what does this acutally do because it is still using the loged in account and doesnt really change account). When I press the + button eveyrthing works perfectly as it should.
I’ve tried deleting all devices (browsers) from the plex server list but that didn’t work.
At the moment my fix is NOT using chrome.
I know it is vague but I still need to do more tests.
For now I was wondering if other people also have Chrome browser problems.
PS
The problem is only web browser related PLEX on apps like smartphone LG WebOS and other devices are working perfectly.
Came here to report same issue:
Every time I open the web player in Chrome, I have to sign in again.
When I do sign in, nothing will play.
Mobile apps and Windows Player all work as expected, only Chrome seems to be affected
This has been going on for four days now.
I have the same, or a similar issue. I can access my plex server (running on a Raspberry Pi4 1.22.1.4228-724c56e62) I am able to scan my library files, delete files, mark as played, but I am unable to play anything. This is true of Chrome, Firefox and Edge, in both Windows and Linux, and the android client. When I click on the play button, nothing happens. I have not found anything in the logs. I have tried the idea listed above without success. This has been going on for about a week now. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
