Skip Ahead and Back with PlexAmp on Android Auto

I have PlexAmp on Android set up to show the skip forward and backward buttons instead of the next and previous track buttons. However on Android Auto, it ignores the setting, and shows the next and previous track buttons.

Is there any way to get that to work, as it would be very useful for things like audiobooks (less so for music)?
