Skip backward button skipping forward, dragging the slider doesn't work

When I hit the button to skip back 10 seconds, it skips forward about 2 minutes instead.

When I drag the slider backwards, it appears to choose some random other point to start the video at.

This only seems to happen when I’m using the Android app, if I’m controlling the Chromecast from the Android app, the slider and buttons seem to work just fine.
