Skip forward and back during LiveTV not behaving correctly

While watching live TV I an unable to skip backward and forward as expected. If I press back or forward the playback jumps to the beginning of the buffered video. At this point there is no way to catch back up or go live without exiting the channel and returning.

*Edit - this is using the samsung smart tv app - latest version

Not sure if this is a setup issue or a known plex issue,

I am having similar issues in another post here. Mine is more specifically related to recorded shows though.

When did this start for you? Mine was about 6 months ago(?) in summer(ish?)hard to say. There were Samsung app and PMS updates around the same time so I don’t know what the culprit is.

Do you videos play fine otherwise? (Including recorded DVR video if you do that?)

I am new to this setup, plex / smart tv so have no data point to when it started.

Oddly, recorded video and music works just fine. Skips back and forth with no issues. This only occurs with live TV.
