Playback has been impossible for several months now. There are severe artifacts and the video skips forward several minutes, up to 20, every few seconds. Is this issue going to be addressed? I know it was raised months ago and it seems like the topic was closed for being “fixed” but it’s not fixed. If you tell me how to access the logs you need I will upload them. I haven’t been able to use my main TV with Plex for months, the constant and unsolved issues are getting really old.
Just to add also get issues with the Samsung Tizen App (Q7F TV)
Horrible artefacts every so often, tearing with noise usually at scene transition/edit points.
Usually plays correctly and doesn’t skip, however using skip forward/back just does random skips, sometimes skipping back skips forward and you can’t ever go back, back often sees it skipping forward!
The content is recorded by the DVR from a HDHomeRun, no fancy music tracks, just stereo.
We’ve given up on the TV app and use a Shield now which works perfectly.
The thread you linked is similar but transcoding or not it doesn’t matter. The codecs don’t matter, everything skips and glitches.
I have to search for the thread because the original one I saw was months ago but I saw one that seemed relevant yesterday. It linked to the same thread you linked to above. It was closed, saying ‘the original problem was solved’ so new posts should go there.
