Skipping one song skips TWO songs

so this has been going on ever since I moved over to plex years ago.

when skipping a song using the “>|” button, it skips ahead 2 songs instead of 1.

-Android (multiple devices all act the same)
-Hosting on Synology DS916 NAS
-Reinstalled both NAS server app and client on Android and still does same thing
-works fine on Windows desktop player or through web browser, only on android mobile devices.

Anyone have this issue? Thanks!

Server Version#: 1.22.3.4392-6000
Player Version#: 8.17.0

I have the same issue with all android devices I use to connect to my plex server. This problem has been happening for at least a couple of months. The other issue is that songs will stop playing at random times and crash the android app.

All music play fine and skip fine in IOS and windows machines.

Specs:
-Win10 Pro x64, 16GB RAM, NVidia Card
-Plex Server, Plex Player, IOS apps and Android Apps have all updates installed

If I am understanding correctly this looks like there was a fix for this yesterday so should be in a beta relatively soon.

this is still not resolved even with server #: 1.22.3.4523-6000, android version 8.17.0.25120

2 songs are skipped sometimes when hitting the skip button and you also cannot go back a track. It just stays on the current track.

This has been an issue for YEARS so you guys know.

STILL a problem… EVERY version of server and app for Android.

Which version of the Android app are you currently using?

Skipping multiple tracks was supposed to be fixed in the 8.17.1 release.

ive been hearing that forever, yet it never gets fixed.

8.18.2.25850

I have the exact same issue. Running Plex server on a Windows 10 HTPC and the Plex app on an Nvidia Shield (latest FW and Plex App. Been happening since day 1 for me but when I play music on my main Windows 10 PC or my Android Phones using Plexamp there are no issues with skipping so the issue seems to be with the Plex Android TV app maybe?

oh they know its an issue, but I have a feeling they would have to rebuild from the ground up, so they keep stating the issues are fixed and just closing out these posts.
