Slow playback start on most movies!

HI,

Most of my movies (4K FHD, HD and SD) will take +/- 30 sec to start playback but some will just take couple seconds. Once playback starts, all is good and I can jump to anywhere on the time line almost instantaneously. Direct Play and Direct Stream are enabled and used during playback. If I disabled Direct Play on the player, playback starts fast but moving to a different time is now longer! Same issues on the Apple TV, NVIDIA Shield and Windows players (local and remote).

This appears to have been around for a while so does anyone know whether a fix will be coming anytime soon so we don’t have to disable this setting?

I read elsewhere about disabling SMB3 and reverting SMB1 as well. If you disable Opp Locks then can you run SMB3 instead of 1?
