Slow remote upload speeds on high end ISP

Hello,

I’m currently facing an issue with my Plex server setup where i’m limited to around 30/40mb when remote streaming content, I’ve tried almost all troubleshooting steps I can think of and i’m not able to get it to budge at all.

My ISP speeds are 1000/400 and i’m not able to get a single client past the 40mb mark. This is not an issue for most of my users as my media is converted to play on lower end clients however i share a collection of bluray rips with certain users, however the buffering every 2 seconds is insane.

I have been able to get it to spike the buffer size before but i have since moved my setup multiple times as my setup has increased.

I have tested the connection to my remote client with DL Speeds of 500+mb all on ethernet, There are no bottlenecks as far as i can see.

Just seeing if anyone has come across this issue before as i’m stuck wondering what it could be

Let me know what information you need!

Blu-Ray content will rarely average beyond 30-40 Mbps.
Unless you’re talking about 4K Blu-Rays.

Yes correct, Im still struggling to play 1080p Blu-Rays at 40~mb let alone 4k
