Server Version#: 1.30.0.6486
Player Version#: 9.14.0.37678
For the last few months launching the player on my nvidia shield has been really slow.
On my phone and Google TV it takes approx 3 seconds to start. On the shield its taking between 14 and 25 seconds to start up.
I tried temporarily selecting to uninstall to revert back to the original version on the shield and that took 3.2 seconds, installed the update and its
to being really slow.
Not sure where to look to track down the cause.
It spends all that loading time on the plex logo.
Wired connection to synology nas drive, not using shield server.
the current public version of the the android plex client is 9.13.1, so if you’re running 9.14.x you must be running a beta version.
install the current public version and see if the issues goes away.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion, I’ve just tried downgrading, but the issue still persists. Is there some logs of what’s it’s doing on startup that I can access?
there will be logs, but not sure how easy they are for the end user to see.
i’ve not got the issue you are reporting on my 2 shields (1 x pro, 1 x tube).
I’ve managed to get some logs, I can see a couple of parts in the log where nothing seems to happen for a few seconds, can’t spot anything specific
