Hello there.
First of all , about my setup :
-I have a remote server hosted on the cloud where i host my plex media SERVER
-I have a NVIDIA shield 2019 Pro where the Plex client is installed
My issue(s)
At first it was a random problem: sometimes when streaming videos on my Nvidia shield trough plex, the videos became laggy and where buffering every 10seconds. I tought it was related a weak connection but it was not. Also when i use plex client on my computer in order to stream the same medias (with the same internet connection ) there was no problem.
This issue came back and forth randomly and disappeared over nights.
But since yesterday night the problem will not go away and it has been worse :
When i open plex on my shield and when i navigate to my folders (lets say movies) its take a whiiiiiiile (about 2-3 min) to display me the results. After i launch the movie , and again its take 2-3 minutes to play it…
I really need your help here since this thing is driving me crazy !
Below all the diagnostic i’ve ran :
-Of course lots of speed test to test the connectivity = everything is fine
-Update my Nvidia Shield, my Plex Client app on it and also my Plex server on my server
-Try to reinstall the plex client on my shield
-Streaming FROM another plex server (to assure it was not related to my cloud host server) = same issue
-Streaming from my cloud host server but on PC client instead of shield = No issue , everything is fine (so my ISP is not the cause)
-Streaming from my cloud host server BUT on my PS5 = same issue, laggy plex…
-I’ve even factory reset my shield to be shure it was not part of the problem
All these diagnostic seem to say that the problem is plex
As anyone experienced this kind of trouble? do you have any clues to solve this?

-Edit : Ive forgotten to mention that i’ve downloaded Kodi on my Shield and from kodi i’ve installed Plex Add On. And it works flawessly ! Gotta be the plex app so…
