Slow upload speeds

I recently became a lifetime plex user in hopes of having a better experience with plex. One of the things I was most interested in was the remote access, but I was having some issues. I followed the plex guide for port forwarding and Its working just fine, this issue is the slow upload speeds. Once I’m outside my internet connection the upload speeds are abysmal. I’m under Verison FIOS and have 100 download / 100 upload, the minimum upload I should be seeing for higher end videos is 100 but for whatever reason I’m only getting up to 15mbs for 1 seconds and it drops to 3mbs - 9mbs. If it really makes much of an impact I’m also using MOCA to connect to my computer for internet access. I’m not sure if this issue is with Plex or if its my ISP, either way if someone could help me I would appreciate it!

Check if 32400 is accessible from the internet. Maybe you’re connecting via plex relay. Even tho you say “it’s working just fine” maybe you don’t have port forwarding set correctly. It’s quite possible to think that you have port forwarding working while still using UPnP.

You can do an MTR test to see where your bottleneck is if all that checks out. It’ll also show your ping latency, but I doubt your problem has to do with TCP BBR since I assume your client is pretty close to the server.
