Just want to start off by saying that I absolutely love Plexamp. I use it everyday and I’m still discovering cool ways to listen to my music through the various radios, DJs etc.
Here’s my problem:
Using the web interface I created an album filter and saved it as a smart collection (not playlist).
I can see this smart album collection in Plexamp when navigating library > collections.
However, when I navigate in Plexamp to Library > Tracks > filter by Album collection, the smart album collection is not listed amongst my other (non-smart) album collections.
The reason I discovered this is that I want to be able to download in Plexamp a selection of tracks from a collection as a kinda shuffled playlist. I can do that successfully by going to Library > Tracks > filter by Album collection, choosing an album collection and then sort by random and then download and it downloads a random selection of tracks from those albums. Neat. But, like I said, I can’t view my smart album collection when I try that.
I’m not sure I’ve made myself clear. I can see my album collections in the filter inside track view and in any of those views you mentioned. The problem is that a smart album collection I created three weeks ago using the Plex web interface is missing from the list of album collections (in any of those views you mentioned). Does that help?
I’ve also just discovered that I can view that smart album collection in Library > Collections and then sort by random and then download 30 mins and I’ll get a random selection of tracks from the album collection which is my ultimate goal here. So… I could just say that my problem is fixed but I do think that I’ve highlighted a bug whereby smart album collections do not show in the list of album collections when in Library > Tracks > filter by album collection.
