Plexamp - Album Collections point to the wrong collection on mobile & mac

Collections are currently broken on mobile devices and mac.

It seems that Album Collections are simply Album Filters matching with the Album collection name. The issue is that currently the Album Collection set in the Album Filter is wrong and points to another random collection. This affects both normal and smart collections.

As I navigate through different collections sometimes they will be correct, sometimes they won’t and sometimes they change from pointing to one collection to another one.

If I open the “Edit Album Filter” settings, manually change the match to the correct collection and save it will look as its supposed to. But when I back out of the collection, next time I open it it will have reverted to the wrong one.

Confirmed issue on:

  • Plexamp 3.9.1 Android Galaxy S10
  • Plexamp 3.9.1 Android Galaxy S20
  • Plexamp 3.9.1 iPhone 6 on iOS 12
  • Plexamp 3.9.1 MacOS Mojave

First noticed it the version before 3.9.1 and was hoping it’d be fixed in this latest patch but I haven’t even seen any discussion about it.

Thank you! The regular collections all work fine now.

However, attempting to load most of my smart collections now results in a grey screen. Music keeps playing but app becomes unresponsive and needs to be restarted.
Tried clearing cache, reinstalling app and restarting device.
Worth noting one of my smart collections with 100 albums loads after restarting/reinstalling but the others with 300+ albums crash application.

Results in smart collections being unusable.

Similar to this issue I had last version on the Windows app but now it’s happening on mobile as well (Android Samsung Galaxy S9):

Should I open a new thread for this issue?

Huh, weird. I see your crashes, but I can’t particularly explain them. Wanna DM me and potentially temporarily share your library with me so I can browse your specific collections?

It would be an honor. Thank you for your help! I’ll do my due diligence and try deleting, doing the plex dance and then recreating the smart collections and DM you if that doesn’t work.

I’d rather you started with the DM if you can reproduce, rather than going through all the hassle and potentially making it harder to reproduce
