Would be great if there was a way to create a Smart Collection that matches with a list on IMDb.
Say for example I find a list on IMDb that someone has created with “Essential Giallo Movies” ( Essential Giallo Movies ) it would be nice to be able to have a smart collection that adds any movie on that list to the collection when added to the library.
Also if something gets added to the list on IMDb and is already in the library it could be added to the collection.
An additional suggestion would be an option to show missing items as greyed out or better yet go to the page for the movie with “Available on your services” information

The “IMDB integration” one doesn’t seem related at all. It talks about syncing ratings with IMDb which is completely different to making collections from user lists on IMDb.
Community Playlists is closer but doesn’t mention syncing with IMDb lists. Just suggests that a community playlist could be created based on a topic like IMDb Top 250 etc
It also talks about playlists rather than collections because that suggestion was made years before Smart collections were even a thing.
I want to be able to take a list from IMDB or any place and send a message to my plex server to add tags to those movies or make them into a collection if I have them. I know there are third party tools that do this, but this is really something plex should have already.
