Before starting with my request, to the devs I just want to say thank you for the Discover tab. I really like the idea and I see how good this is and how it could grow.
I was wondering if there was any plan to add filters and sorting options to the smart collections after the beta of the new Discover tab. I really like what this feature brings to the table and I was hoping to be able to customize my homepage using the same filter logic created there but using my library assets as the focus point.
Filters like Trending on > Netflix/Prime/Disney/etc that would show the movies in your library matching what’s in those lists, Popular Action/Documentary/etc movies on any given platforms and anything else seen there.
A way (yes or no option) to choose to show content from user’s streaming services matching the smart filter’s criteria in the collection (This would basically allow us to create our own custom version of Discover)
A way to filter by what’s trending or popular on any or all of those services.
I keep thinking of possibilities since seeing Discover and I could add to this list for a while but I’ll stop there and and summarize it into a single request: Please add a way for smart collections to filter and sort library content with the category made available in the new Discover tab. It would go a long way to improve the relevance of what can be displayed on the home page and allow library owners to customize their own version of Discover. I would have a lot of fun playing with this
