I cannot find this anywhere and have been struggling for a bit. Plex Music, but I assume the same applies to Movies/TV.
There seems to be no guide when using Smart Collections to populate Smart Playlists.
Smart Collections seemingly can’t populate smart playlists like they should or I am missing something?
I want to create a variety of Smart Collections - say Artists from between 50-70s, that I haven’t played in 1 month to populate a Playlists and throw this songs into different playlist moods. “Like highlight the more positive moods and/or genres” limit the list to rating, play count and number.
I’ve gotten around this by creating dumb playlists instead, which works, but isn’t ideal. I feel like I’ve created Smart Album Collections and Smart Artist Collections and just seen a variety of varying results.
For instance- My smart Collection of Albums, based on release date, works and can be pulled into a playlist, but the one created with Genre or Style - Don’t. And can’t be seen in the picklist when I create a smart playlist.
Is there an in depth guide/process to understanding how each trigger is effecting either the Collection or the Playlist to make it usable? ( I remember a couple of weeks ago I created a smart collection with artists by accident, it wasn’t visible, but I changed the view/collection to album and it was?) It’s like artist+genre doesn’t work, or album+genre doesn’t work, or changes the way it then can be pulled into a playlist?
