Smart Lists not Updating

Server Version#: Version 1.16.6.1592
Player Version#: Web Client Version 3.108.2

I’m trying to create a SMART PLAYLIST as follows
Select TV Library > Customer Filter > Episodes > By Air Date DESC

  • Show PLays > 0
  • Episode Plays = 0
  • Air Date > 2015
Click APPLY and ADD TO PLAYLIST

Check the playlist and it’s all good. I then mark S01E01 of a new Series I’m interested in as PLAYED, go check the playlist, but nothing has changed, even though S01E02 fits the criteria.

Am I doing something wrong? Am I expecting more than I should?

This is likely a browser caching issue - does reloading the web page on the playlist screen result in it showing the correct list?

I can confirm, I’m seeing the same thing. I used a different browser than I usually use, so caching shouldn’t be a problem. I changed a parameter on an album that should have removed it from a smart playlist. I re-scanned the library, refreshed metadata, analyzed, cleared browser cache, even optimized the database and cleaned bundles (though I wouldn’t expect those last two to be related).

Nothing resulted in the album’s tracks being removed from the smart playlist.

I suspect Plex Dancing the album would do the trick, but I’m not in a position to do that right now. Logs attached.

@drzoidberg33 yes, if I Shift REFRESH, it shows correctly, but that requires having to re-select the user. This is not fit for purpose.
At the very least, a [REFRESH] button could be added for the list. This happens on the ON DECK, when you watch an episode, the episodes change position and ‘Series X S01E01’ changes to ‘Series X S01E02’. Why does/can this not happen in the Smart Playlists.
On a side note, can you keep us ‘Signed In’ to the selected user, at least for 'x Minutes from last website interaction. Is very annoying having to restart for one reason or another, and getting back to the “Pick a User” screen. :frowning:

There’s an “Automatically Sign In” option in Settings.

That’s no good. We have multiple users.

It remembers the last user signed in.

Let me check and get back to you on that. Thanks.

Yes, I can confirm that works as intended. Hope they’ll make it automatically update, like the ON DECK, in the future.
