Smart movie collections blank

Plex Client: Android beta (seeing this on both Phone, TV and web)

I have a load of smart collections set up for actors, directors, film series and themes. Tonight I have noticed that most (not all) of the actor and director ones are now showing 0 movies. If I go to edit filter for some (not all) the actor or director is not listed as a name but a number

So for example:

Ben Afflick

Adam Sandler

The movies themselves are still in the library.

You can see it is random out of all of these one still has the collection populated

It is the same with Directors

Movie Series and themed smart collections seem to be fine. Any ideas before I start having to create all of these again?

Edit: just noticed all the actor and Director ones that are working are not Smart Collections (they don’t have the little cog icon).

Edit 2: I am finding if I go into edit the filter and delete the text for the actor and type it again it brings back the filtered items. This is a lot to do again, any ideas before I go down that road?

That’s most likely going back to a change sometime in Fall 2021 when Plex changed some internal unique identifiers for actors and directors. If your library’s metadata has been refreshed, you should be able to simply update the collections’ filters to make sure they’re actually pointing to the applicable actor/director (instead of those numbers, e.g. 3398 for Ben Affleck).

Thanks for taking the time to reply Tom, as you can see in end of my post I did state if I redo the filter I can get the items back, was really hopping for a less manual fix as that is a lot of Collections to fix.
