Smart Playlist discrepency from web gui and plexamp

Server Version#: 1.42.2.10156
Player Version#: plexamp v4.12.4
Server as a container under linux mint.

I created a Music Smart Playlist in the PMS web gui and get less results than I expected, 9 tracks. The criteria is a song title contains a string.

then i go to plexamp, and filter tracks with the same criteria. I receive 5 results, none of them the same as the 9.

Based on my filter criteria, I should receive 14 tracks.

I’ve restarted the server. It’s just odd behavior and I’m not exactly sure if there’s anything I can do about it.

Which criteria are these? Please list all of them.
Do you use the same plex user account on both devices?

The Criteria is this simple:

Match all (or any, didn’t change results) of the following:

Track Title - contains - I Can’t Make You Love Me

Same user account for both.

so they’re both smart playlists. here’s screen snips for both results from the web gui.

Note: even though the playlist created in plex GUI say 8 results, it’s actually 9.

in the top line, switch Albums to Tracks. You want tracks as a result, not albums.

Sure, I’ve tried that, it doesn’t change the results though.

It’s still 9 tracks for the smart playlist created in GUI, and 5 tracks for the smart playlist created in plexamp.

edit: no overlap of tracks either /shrug.

2 edit: I originally created the playlist in the GUI, but because of the filter not picking up some tracks it should have, I sanity checked myself in plexamp, with unexpected results lol

I can recreate the issue on my server. I have filed a bug report.
