I am exploring the music player. One of my favorite features is the smart lists which a really taking me in less traveled places in my collection which is exactly what I hoped for.
I am struggling with some pretty basic functions, especially on the ipad, which perhaps there is some documentation on:
i) The tool seems different on PC and mobile platforms.
ii) The ipad seems to have genres but no moods, while the PC it is the opposite (correct?)
iii) On the ipad there seems to be a presentation of Vevo videos associated with the selection which is great - but not available I think on the PC
iv) on the PC I can see the tracks in the playlist - on the ipad I don’t seem to be able to.
v) Saving a playlist seems fairly straightforward on both (although it is called ‘add to playlist’ which is something different and so a bit confusing). Finding the playlist on the ipad baffled me. There seemed to be a ‘recent playlists’ on the home screen which was helpful, although getting access to a library of playlists is what I actually need.
In general I feel I struggle to navigate around the interface and to carry out some of the basic actions.
Select music->select subset of music->select a track->create a smart playlist-> review->if I don’t like it get it to refresh with another->save the one I like to a library I can easily review (select playlist and see the tracks included.)->download to a mobile device or play as I choose, and play at any point
I must say the Ipad is harder to navigate than the PC, but this is the one that is most often used (Bluetoothed to the Bluesound speaker unit in the kitchen)
If it gets to the end of a playlist it would be nice if it used the same algorithm to create extension.
So after this rather long intro, my question is whether there is a step by step guide to core actions on each platform, of the style ‘so you want to …on an ipad’ etc.?
Apologies if all this is all easy and current functionality. Any guidance on the above would be great.
