Everything was working well on my Samsung UA55JU7000 until last night. Now, when I bring up the player controls at the bottom of the screen, nothing is “clickable” any more. It’s like Smart Control is switched off but it isn’t. On the main screen when I first open the app, I can use the pointer to open settings etc but it no longer works when playing a video.
I want to be able to skip ahead to the next episode of a TV show (or go back an episode). Using the regular remote, I can press and hold the fast forward button and sometimes it will skip to the next episode but not always. Pressing and holding the rewind button does not go back an episode.
I changed the Smart Hub region a couple times, reset the Smart Hub, even reset the TV but the problem remains. The player controls when playing a video are not “clickable” any more.
How do other people skip ahead or back through a TV show?
just as strangely as this stopped working, today it is working again. I have no idea why but am very happy.
i did figure out that with the regular remote, if i pause the video i can the press and hold forward or rewind and it will skip to the next/previous episode.
