Smart TV Clients lose connection to server/account?

Server Version#: 1.43.0.10492 (Synology Package)
Player Version#: 10.30.8.42222 (TCL Smart TV)

Every 24-48 hrs it seems when I open the Plex App on my TCL Smart TV (It also does this on my LG Smart TV) the menu shows a bunch of “!” signs where my created catgories are and it seems like there is no connection to my server. If I sign out of the logged in Plex account on the client (Smart TV App) and then back in, everything works fine. It’s annoying and tedious to have to re-setup the menus every time I sign out/in and the Mrs also doesn’t always remember what to do to get back to a working connection so it becomes frustrating for the both of us.

I have looked through the server side and client side settings but did not see anything that looked like it would help with this. I also don’t know enough to go an start changing things without understanding what they do, so I have been cautious to try things. I figured I would ask first before getting brave with changes.

Are there server side logs that would be useful or show any info about what is happening? I don’t think there is any way to pull logs from the Smart TV clients. If there is I would be happy to provide them.

I should add that the server is on a static IP on my local network. The smart TV’s I do not believe are, but with the frequency of the issue it seems like they would not be getting reassigned different IP addresses that often.

Thank you for any help with this.

had this happens one to may times on my Samsungs, last time i gave up and got me a Shield. Life been good since

I don’t want yet another device to manage, not to mention the upfront cost, for what is redundant to a recent model Smart TV. There is a underlying setting or setup issue that are causing the client to lose connection to the server periodically and if I don’t understand what the problem is throwing hardware at it is a recipe for wasting $.
