Snynology 1019+ / Plex 1.23.1.4528 - 4K - Horrible Buffering

I uninstalled and did a clean install of 1.23.1.4571-6119e8eed
Unchecked Enable HDR tone mapping - SAVE

However, same results.

I have a couple of more hours of work and the fam and I are headed to the beach first thing in the AM. I’ll pick this up Monday.

Have a great weekend. Get some rest.

Can you give me a link to instructions for Running Plex in Docker? I’ll try that next.

Before you go off that route,

  1. Download this file (this is from my rip of the movie)
  1. Put in an “Other Videos” library section

  2. Play it.

  3. If failure, Download the Logs ZIP and attach it.

  4. If success, I’ll explain why.

Sorry it took me to get back around to you. I downloaded your slice, and ran it. When playing your slice, it also buffered just as before. I am including the logs here.

I did a test. If I play both files (your slice of 1917 and my copy of 1917 that I purchases, in Google Chrome, they both play fine. However, if I play them on the Desktop App they buffer. I didn’t try them on the Samsung TV. The Desktop App buffering your slice is what I logged. I also tried playing them in VLC directly pulling from the NAS. Both seemed to play/stream fine with no issues.

Plex Media Scanner Analysis.zip (4.2 KB)

I need the full ZIP file please.

Scanner and transcoder logs are not useful here.

I need to see what PMS, not the media scanner, nor the transcoder, did with my file on your machine.
