I have to say, as a VERY long-time user of Plex, I’m really disappointed in them today. I’m sure they don’t care, and probably most of you won’t care. A hack in today’s environment is somewhat understandable. I work in IT, security specifically, and get it. But their silence today while everyone struggled to do what they asked and change passwords and lost their server is really not acceptable. I am among them, and it is very frustrating. Reading all the posts and hundreds of replies to their posts, yet no Plex comment. I have to admit I’ve been running Emby for while on another linux box parallel to Plex and I think this will be the final curtain for me. I started running Emby after an internet outage and I could not watch anything on Plex due to it having to talk to the cloud. Well today we see the cloud can be full of lightning and rain. I’ll still run Plex after it is back up and fixed, but will move to Emby being my primary local streamer.
