I understand soft transitions was a deliberate design feature, but it would really be great if it was able to be switched off. It is a fine feature when listening to music, but when listening to audio books, podcasts, or other speech centric material, it’s a PIA to miss a second or so when pausing. IF I’ve missed where this can be switched off, can someone enlighten me?
There is a difference between transitions (playback to playback) and resume (stop to playback).
Are you using wireless speakers or bluetooth headphones?
Do you have your spoken language material in a separate library from your music?
Which platform is used to run Plexamp?

We actually seek backwards when pausing for long-form content (Store Track Progress enabled for an audiobook library).
