[Solved][Bug] iOS - Home users cannot log in

device: iPad pro ios 12

I use Google to authenticate my Plex on my iPad and a PIN for the app logon. I have been using this for a while now and do not have an issue with either my admin or home users. In the ios-beta, the same works for my admin account.

However, if I try and switch to another home user (either with one with a PIN or not) I do not see any content and the user icon is the empty shadow of a person. When I click on it, the dialog opens and it says “Sign In”. If I do, it again asks me how I want to log in and I use Google. It spins a bit but then logs be back in as the admin.

Are there known issues with switching home users in the ios-beta?

Please let me know if there are any specific logs I can supply or if this is already known.

Same issue here with ios beta. I sign in directly into the app with my username and password. I am using the latest version of the ios beta nd latest version of the plex server for Mac.

Thanks for reaching out. We identified and fixed this issue, and it’s been included in the latest beta, which is scheduled for release tomorrow.

@aapullins can you confirm it’s fixed for you, since you’re using our beta version?

Is the new beta build available? The reason I ask is that normally I would expect to see the buddy email with the new link to install it but I have not received the email and previously I was noticing email delays.

If it is available is there another way to update to it?
