[SOLVED] - PLEX TV Series (by last episode date added 18 years ago)

Hello,
I cannot seem to figure this out. I have added a TV Series library and there are TV shows that were added many years ago, and show as newly added, static values only when filtering by last episode data added.
What would be causing this and is there a way to fix it?
Tautulli (aka plexpy) reports them as added 18 years ago and keeps them at the start or top of the list.
When using any plex front end client, when filtering ONLY by last episode date added, it shows these 6 shows. It is really strange.

I want to say it deals with metadata and the database file. How can I get these shows to appear back in their correct order They always show as most recent and anything I have added today or days populate after these shows

Take a look at the files of these media directly in your OS’s file manager.
Do they have file dates which lie in the future?

Try to perform the Plex Dance with one of those series and monitor its behaviour on the Home screen over several days.

I have done this already in this order, this was what so many people say. However, it is not a solution to this concern.

There is no such sorting order. The date is actually when the first episode of this show was added.

I noticed this in the Android TV interface as well. It seems to sort correctly by the Last Episode Date Added but then displays the date of the first episode added?

I understand that, however when I add new shows, they add properly. These first 6 shows never move. Their always first in the list.
The shows I have added yesterday for example always appear after them in the correct order.
I am not sure what is triggering this.

You have cropped your screen shot above, so no context is visible and by which sorting criteria the screen is actually supposed to be sorted.

I will post screens soon. I am attempting the plex dance one last time to see if it corrects the files and running through each file in the series (though they are renamed properly) to make sure there is no

  1. metadata folder within the series files
  2. no .xml files within the series files/folder
  3. no names that are off (used a renamer for these show previously)
  4. Downloading a random show I don’t watch that was recent this week, and adding it to see if, when added, it goes in front of these shows and not ‘behind’ them in the list.

Hello,

I processed the ‘Plex Dance’ again and triple checked the show folders. For the time being Plex as well as Tautulli have corrected themselves accordingly

There were some ‘metadata’ folders in some of the series folders, as well I found a .xml file or two within the folders. I deleted these values and kept the folders straight media content.
